CHALLENGE

Our client’s Information Services department wanted to improve their enterprise-wide approach to portfolio and project management. They created some new roles specifically to improve overall project quality and to provide consistency in reporting. They looked to our expertise to guide them through the process of developing the new roles and establishing project management and portfolio governance.

APPROACH

We met with the portfolio and project governance development team, the CIO, and the COO to provide customized recommendations for improved governance. Our recommendations were tailored to the client’s business model and culture. We helped them navigate organizational challenges, which resulted in the implementation of improved project management practices enterprise-wide. Our advisory services included expertise in reporting structures and how to prioritize relevant project communication to the appropriate target audience.

Consistent models for project reporting and governance across the portfolio were developed and rolled out to the organization.
