Mike GunterFounding Partner
Mike is passionate about client service and leading people. He founded The Gunter Group in 2011 with a different philosophy on consulting and building teams. He enjoys watching people grow, develop, and discover their true path. Mike is a visionary and forward thinker with extensive multinational experience and a proven track record of serving clients. With more than 25 years of business leadership and consulting in a wide variety of challenging and ambiguous environments, Mike got his start in the industry at Deloitte Consulting and has since held executive leadership positions in consulting, supply chain services, and public education organizations. He has experience in manufacturing, retail, healthcare and education. Mike holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Outside of work, Mike spends his time with family, including his two boys, and tries to keep up with their many activities. He loves to travel and explore new and familiar places, tasting new wines while he is at it.
Ashleigh GunterManaging Partner
Ashleigh partners with her clients to solve their most challenging problems. Her practice focuses on the intersection between strategy and people. Ashleigh combines her experience, an understanding of organizational culture and a practical mindset to meet her clients’ needs. Matt brings a deep knowledge of implementing enterprise-wide transformations across people, process, and technology domains. He works with a broad range of clients on their organizational challenges and opportunities and has advised clients in the retail, education, finance, and professional services industries and served as a leader in the military and nonprofit sectors. Matt graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Business Management and is a Certified Scrum Master, a Certified SAFe 5 Agilist, and has certifications in program management, LEAN, and contract management. He has spent the majority of his academic, military, and consulting career studying and employing character-based leadership principles in challenging and ambiguous environments. For more than 18 years, Jim has been leading diverse teams in the military, retail/e-commerce, and health care sectors. Jim has spent years driving change in a variety of areas within various client organizations with a focus on leading teams through digital transformation. Jim has led program and project teams, coached Agile teams and product managers, as well as worked with teams through new product development, process improvement, and developing communications strategy. Jim serves as TGG's Agile Services Lead and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Portland, an M.A. in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.A. in Political Science from Youngstown State University. He is also a certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, Agile Coach and Gallup Clifton Strengths Coach.
Matthew JamisonPrincipal Consultant, Tech Services Leader
Matt is an experienced solutions architect with a results-oriented understanding of the intersection between reality and architectural theory. With 20 years of functional information technology experience, Matt has end-to-end IT knowledge from layer 1 networking to application API interaction. Stephen BaconPrincipal Consultant, Strategy Practice Leader
Stephen is passionate about understanding the overarching strategic goals of an organization and leading the changes that are so often necessary to implement those strategies. His expertise is guiding strategy and change efforts across a variety of organizations. Stephen has spent twenty years leading initiatives at Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions and not-for-profits in the education services, technology, financial services, consumer products, and healthcare industries, including extensive international experience. Stephen is a PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), holds a green belt in Six Sigma, and is accredited in various psychometric assessments (MBTI, ESCI, NBI). He holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Boston College and an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. In addition to his service on not-for-profit boards, Stephen has three young children and a chocolate lab. He lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
Ande is known for his ease in finding creative and innovative solutions to ambiguous problems. He is passionate about using data to drive statistically based decisions, especially in situations where the data isn't obvious or easy to come by. His positivity, patience, and leadership skills have allowed him to build strong relationships and have garnered commitment from all involved to help teams achieve their goals. From industrial venting to medical device manufacturing, Ande has successfully executed complex design and manufacturing changes in diverse industries. Ande has honed his leadership and project management skills navigating cross functional teams in the highly regulated medical device industry. She graduated from the University of Toronto, Trinity College with an honors degree in Book & Media Studies & English Literature. Abby is also a celebrated figure skater, having competed internationally on Team Canada’s figure skating team. Outside of work, Abby enjoys exploring new places near and far, reading any book she can get her hands on, singing, and spending time with her friends, family, and dogs.

Frank is an experienced project manager with more than 6 years performing effective program oversight, project management, business and program analysis for the public and private sectors. He has managed a diverse array of projects related to software development, business analysis, organizational reviews, data analysis, business process reengineering, COTs, and State and Federal programs. Additionally, Frank has experience in providing IT project management support for Operations and Maintenance and New Software Development initiatives throughout all phases of the software development life cycle.
