Mike Gunter
Founding PartnerMike is passionate about client service and leading people. He founded The Gunter Group in 2011 with a different philosophy on consulting and building teams. He enjoys watching people grow, develop, and discover their true path. Mike is a visionary and forward thinker with extensive multinational experience and a proven track record of serving clients. With more than 25 years of business leadership and consulting in a wide variety of challenging and ambiguous environments, Mike got his start in the industry at Deloitte Consulting and has since held executive leadership positions in consulting, supply chain services, and public education organizations. He has experience in manufacturing, retail, healthcare and education. Mike holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Outside of work, Mike spends his time with family, including his two boys, and tries to keep up with their many activities. He loves to travel and explore new and familiar places, tasting new wines while he is at it.
Ashleigh Gunter
Managing PartnerAshleigh partners with her clients to solve their most challenging problems. Her practice focuses on the intersection between strategy and people. She has deep experience in strategy development and implementation of key strategies, organizational design, executive coaching and change management. Ashleigh combines her experience, an understanding of organizational culture and a practical mindset to meet her clients’ needs. With over 25 years of consulting experience, Ashleigh has deep expertise in advising education and healthcare organizations in dramatically changing marketplaces to the operational effectiveness required to stay competitive. Ashleigh also practices in the non-profit, consumer goods, financial services, and energy industries on a wide range of strategic, organizational, and operational topics. She has an M.B.A. with a focus in Strategic Management and Organizational Change from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Denver with a concentration in Finance.
Outside of work, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, and baking. In addition to being a Dougy Center advocate and board member, Ashleigh is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and Demo Team Leader.
Matt Bader
PartnerMatt's passion and leadership purpose is all about helping teams reach their highest potential. He loves building and leading high-performing teams and seeing what can be accomplished when strong values, sound strategy, and a relentless commitment to execution collide. He is a trusted advisor who thrives on building lasting partnerships and driving high-quality solutions for clients. With more than 15 years of strategy, program leadership, and organizational transformation experience in a wide variety of challenging and ambiguous environments. Matt brings a deep knowledge of implementing enterprise-wide transformations across people, process, and technology domains. He works with a broad range of clients on their organizational challenges and opportunities and has advised clients in the retail, education, finance, and professional services industries and served as a leader in the military and nonprofit sectors. Matt graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in Business Management and is a Certified Scrum Master, a Certified SAFe 5 Agilist, and has certifications in program management, LEAN, and contract management. He has spent the majority of his academic, military, and consulting career studying and employing character-based leadership principles in challenging and ambiguous environments. Outside of being a loving husband and father, Matt enjoys the intersection of all things hockey, heavy metal, fitness, and beer.
Tony Schweiss
PartnerTony builds teams to support strategic change initiatives and help leaders plan for highly impactful change. Thriving in the face of complex problems, he brings clarity to ambiguous situations and organizational questions. Leaders quickly come to trust Tony as a partner in making their tough decisions. A former Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, Tony's leadership and management philosophy is tempered by a career of bringing calm and planning to high-impact, high-stress scenarios. His track record of success in defining and overcoming challenges in demanding environments has led to consistent portrayals of him as an outstanding manager and a leader among his peers. His skill set is under-girded by his formal education in the Humanities, holding a Bachelors Honors degree in both Philosophy and Theology from the University of Notre Dame. In addition to an aggressive reading habit, Tony is deeply interested in everything that the Sierra Nevada mountains have to offer. Sun, snow, backpacking, and skiing all keep him, his wife, and kids busy in their free time.

Jim Calko
Principal ConsultantFor more than 18 years, Jim has been leading diverse teams in the military, retail/e-commerce, and health care sectors. Jim has spent years driving change in a variety of areas within various client organizations with a focus on leading teams through digital transformation. Jim has led program and project teams, coached Agile teams and product managers, as well as worked with teams through new product development, process improvement, and developing communications strategy. Jim serves as TGG's Agile Services Lead and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Portland, an M.A. in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.A. in Political Science from Youngstown State University. He is also a certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, Agile Coach and Gallup Clifton Strengths Coach.
Matthew Jamison
Principal Consultant, Tech Services LeaderMatt is an experienced solutions architect with a results-oriented understanding of the intersection between reality and architectural theory. He has the ability to plan, develop, and implement large-scale projects while maintaining impeccable attention to detail. With 20 years of functional information technology experience, Matt has end-to-end IT knowledge from layer 1 networking to application API interaction. An expert in mapping technology solutions to business needs, Matt is also able to conform to required regulations while maintaining IT best practices. Matt's experience spans multiple industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, and security and software. He is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect and a Certified SAFe 5 Agilist. Outside of work, Matt enjoys the outdoors and all things bike-related.

Stephen Bacon
Principal Consultant, Strategy Practice LeaderSteve leads the Strategy Practice at The Gunter Group where he partners with senior executives and leadership teams in the experience of creating long-term strategies. A gifted facilitator, teacher, and thought partner, he has spent over twenty years advising Fortune 500 companies, government entities, academic institutions, and not-for-profits across a variety of industries and geographies, including extensive international experience.
Steve is passionate about empowering clients to establish and execute their organization’s strategy by guiding them to answer the questions, “Where are we going?” and “How will we get there?” Beyond consulting, Steve serves on not-for-profit boards and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the topics of strategy, finance, economics, and organizational behavior.
Steve holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Boston College and a M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. He is a PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner, Certified Associate in Project Management, holds a green belt in Six Sigma, and is accredited in various psychometric, emotional intelligence, and group dynamics assessments (MBTI, ESCI, NBI). Steve and his wife have three children and two Labrador retrievers at home with them outside Portland, Oregon.
Anderson Olson
Ande is known for his ease in finding creative and innovative solutions to ambiguous problems. He is passionate about using data to drive statistically based decisions, especially in situations where the data isn't obvious or easy to come by. His positivity, patience, and leadership skills have allowed him to build strong relationships and have garnered commitment from all involved to help teams achieve their goals. From industrial venting to medical device manufacturing, Ande has successfully executed complex design and manufacturing changes in diverse industries. Ande has honed his leadership and project management skills navigating cross functional teams in the highly regulated medical device industry. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and is a Certified Scrum Master. If he's not at work you can probably find Ande in one of four places: on the golf course, exploring a new coffee shop, working on personal business ventures, or traveling the world.

He partners with business and IT organizations to achieve the most effective approach to solutioning. As a utility player who is willing to assume any role to keep a project moving forward, Bradley builds and executes project plans and is a key project leader with the ability to support all levels of a project structure. Bradley takes pride in leading with transparency and his ability to be adaptive to shifting challenges.
Dan Siger
Dan is a management consultant with 20+ years of experience in the technology sector. He is focused on delivering excellence while building and supporting the teams around him. From a software developer to CTO and everything in between, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clients. When she is not solving problems for organizations, you can find her trail running around the Portland area, inventing new recipes or tending to her garden.

Abby Chase

With a people-first approach, Abby has led product and organizational optimization initiatives, conducted large-scale strategic planning offsites, and managed user acceptance testing, project management, and change management for multiple ERP technology implementations. She is a ProSci certified change practitioner, a Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, and graduated from the University of Toronto, Trinity College with honors in Book & Media Studies. Abby is also a celebrated figure skater and international gold medalist, having competed on Team Canada’s skating team. In her free time, Abby enjoys exploring new places, singing in musicals & local bands, and reading in the sunshine.

Anjani holds a B.S. in Applied Math and Statistics along with a Minor in Entrepreneurship & Management from The Johns Hopkins University. Anjani’s hobbies include crocheting and sewing while listening to stand-up comedy. After living and working in Portugal, she now lives in Colorado with Cézanne, her Portuguese cat.

Vivian Dhadli-Robinson
